Utica Area Gourmet Restaurants for Mother’s Day

Mothers deserve the world, and if you can’t find the perfect gift, many area restaurants offer menus and dining experiences to show how much they are appreciated and loved. You don’t have to go too far, and many of them have great views too.

Mother’s Day 2022 falls on Sunday, May 8, and while there’s still time, restaurants strongly recommend booking early.

Again! serves Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, including tapas, crepes, steaks and seafood. While normally closed on Sundays, this restaurant will open for Mother’s Day.

Some popular dishes include paella, honey glazed salmon with sesame seeds, pomodoro gnocchi, homemade cavatelli, etc.

Willows of Utica on Culver Avenue will offer a regular dinner menu such as French chicken or veal, grilled salmon, filet mignon, riggies, shrimp and scallop risotto and more.

People can make reservations for the Mother’s Day dinner, which runs from noon to 5 p.m. If there is availability that day after that time, people can show up.

This family-run Utica restaurant opened in 1943 and serves classic Italian dishes. On Mother’s Day, Ventura’s will be open and offering a holiday menu. Some of Ventura’s dishes include fried calamari, scampi with prawns, Ventura-style greens, vodka riggies, ravioli al forno, homemade cannelloni, among others.

With a view of the Genesee Street balcony, Ocean Blue will serve a traditional brunch menu with seafood, salads, oysters, cinnamon French toast, corned beef hash, lobster mac and cheese , salmon brunch among others.

Giorgio’s in New Hartford offers Italian cuisine and cocktails and will be open for Mother’s Day, serving regular meals and specialties including gourmet pizzas, Italian specialties and meats such as chicken, veal, beef, duck and seafood.

Located inside the DoubleTree Hotel in Utica, Iconic by Chesterfield serves local and popular Italian American dishes with a modern twist. On Mother’s Day, Iconic will open for brunch.

Located at the Valley View Golf Course, Daniele’s will be offering a Mother’s Day breakfast buffet with a chef-led carving station, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, haddock and pork. oregano, a pasta bar with vodka penne, marinara hats and alfredo tortellini and a salad bar, soup station and desserts such as muffins, danishes, mini pastries, fruit, coffee and tea.

Price for Daniele’s breakfast buffet is $35 for adults, $34 for seniors, $17 for children 5-10, children 4 and under eat free.

The restaurant will offer a buffet breakfast for Mother’s Day and will have two services – 10:00 and 12:00. Lunch spots are sold out.

Buffet will include Scrambled Eggs, Western Eggs, Bacon, Breakfast Sausages, Brown Sugar Cooked Ham, Breakfast Potatoes, Eggs Benedict Florentine, Beef Hash with corn, green vegetables, a waffle pancake and a French toast station, as well as a dessert station.

Beverages such as coffee and hot tea will also be available, and all mothers will receive a free mimosa.

The price for adults is $22.95, for seniors is $19.95, children 5-10 are $11.95, and children under 4 eat free.
