Thumbs Up Diner will open in Trilith in September 2022
Thumb up later this year will open its seventh location through a franchisee Joni TabbOwner of Velocity Airport Concessionsaccording to a Thursday press release from Trilith, the mixed-use development where the Atlanta-born breakfast and brunch restaurant will open. Tabb’s company oversees three restaurants at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport as well as a Kale Me Crazy franchise in Denver, according to a Trilith spokesperson.
Tabb’s Thumbs Up Diner is set to debut in mid-September 2022 with a retro-modern build and some “surprising new offerings” as well as the restaurant’s signature comfort food.
Thumbs Up Diner is known for its funky mix of “Breakfast Originals” as well as its own breakfast options. Popular customizable breakfast plates with any style eggs and potatoes include specialty proteins such as turkey bacon, chicken sausage and vegetable sausage along with unexpected toppings such as chicken wings, fried catfish, fried pork chops and grilled shrimp. Popular morning dishes like Belgian waffles and buckwheat pancakes will continue to be served to loyal customers and newcomers alike.
The restaurant offers its range of meat, potato, egg and cheese dishes served hot on the grill in a cast iron skillet. Although best known for breakfast, Thumbs Up Diner also offers a variety of lunch favorites, including sandwiches, burgers, and tacos.
Beer and wine will also be available for the first time in the chain, so brunch crowds can expect mimosas and other classic refreshments on the menu.
The Trilith location will offer healthy and light food choices such as avocado toast, smart omelettes, fruit parfaits, tofu and vegetables. Other specialties include house-smoked turkey and chicken, freshly squeezed juices, homemade multigrain cookies, stone-ground oatmeal, homemade jams, and slow-poured 100% pure Vermont maple syrup.
“I am very excited to bring the brand to Trilith, where we plan to bring best-in-class service, a welcoming atmosphere and delicious meals to a thriving community,” Tabb said in the release.
The Thumbs Up Diner at Trilith will be located at the downtown entrance for restaurant dining and will also include a pick up window and catering services. The space is a friendly modern restaurant and also a tribute to the classic American restaurant concept. Decorative glass in the windows and a curved service counter combine an urban ambiance and friendly service for a relaxing breakfast and dinner experience.
Thumbs Up Diner at Trilith will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends.
