GBBO: Noel Fielding says he ‘can’t watch’ pie fall apart

Great British Bake Off’s Noel Fielding has £2m in the bank following his success on the hit show.

Accounts reveal the 48-year-old comedian’s fortunes have been transformed since joining the Channel 4 series in 2017.

Noel’s company, Fantasy Man Ltd, had a balance of £1.87million according to accounts filed last April, up more than £400,000 from the previous year.

The star is one of three directors of the company, which manages the income from his television career.

His partner for 12 years, radio host Lliana Bird, is also a director.

Noel, who shot to fame in the 2000s in the surreal comedy The Mighty Boosh, was worth just over £200,000 before joining Bake Off after leaving the BBC.

It proved to be an instant hit with viewers alongside new host Sandi Toksvig. He now hosts the show alongside comedian Matt Lucas.

Since Noel has been on the show, fans have warmed to his eccentric fashion choices and how he uses humor to lift the spirits of stressed bakers.

Noel also runs TV production company Secret Peter Ltd, which – according to April’s accounts – had £67,402 cash in the bank before deductions.

The eccentric star previously admitted he ‘never really thought about money or career milestones or anything like that’

It’s not just Noel who has the recipe for success, however. His colleagues at GBBO are also revenue leaders.

Judge Paul Hollywood, 55, sits on a fortune of £9million while Prue Leith, 81, has a reported fortune of £85million, thanks to decades of success in the industry high level catering.

Current Noel Bake Off co-host Matt Lucas, 47, is thought to be worth around £7.7million.

And Nadiya Hussain, 37, who won the series in 2015, is estimated at £3.7m.
